This Privacy Policy applies to the Collection of Hope app for iPhone and iPad. Collection of Hope is provided by A Collection of Hope Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under company number 12026927.
This policy explains how information is handled when the app is used.
PAINTINGS AND APP INFORMATION
Paintings, drawing actions and app preferences are processed and stored locally on the user’s device. A Collection of Hope Ltd does not receive or have access to paintings through normal use of the app.
The device owner controls access to the device, local files and backups through their iOS settings.
PHOTOS AND SHARING
When a user chooses an image from the photo library, Collection of Hope uses the selected image for the requested painting activity. When a user saves a painting, the app writes the selected painting to Photos after permission is granted through iOS.
When a user chooses to share a painting, the iOS share sheet allows them to select the person, app or service that will receive it. The selected destination handles the shared item under its own privacy policy.
Photo permissions can be changed at any time in the device’s iOS Settings.
SUPPORT MESSAGES
If an adult contacts us for support, we receive the email address, message and any information they choose to include. We use this information to respond, provide support, protect the app and its users, and meet our legal obligations.
We keep support correspondence only for as long as reasonably necessary and then delete or securely dispose of it. Please avoid sending sensitive information or a child’s personal information unless it is genuinely necessary.
CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
Collection of Hope is designed as a privacy-conscious creative experience for children and families. A parent or guardian should supervise a child’s use of photo selection and sharing features and check that a painting does not contain personal details before it is shared.
SERVICE PROVIDERS AND INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Apple handles App Store and operating-system information under Apple’s own privacy terms. Communications providers may process adult support messages on our behalf. Where support information is transferred outside the United Kingdom, it is protected as required by applicable data-protection law.
SECURITY
We use reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect information received through support communications. Device security and backups remain controlled by the device owner.
PRIVACY RIGHTS
Where we hold personal information from a support request, the person concerned may have rights to request access, correction, deletion or restriction and to object to certain processing. They may also withdraw consent where consent is the lawful basis.
To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below. We may need to verify the request before acting.
People in the United Kingdom may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at https://ico.org.uk/.
CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy when the app or legal requirements change. The latest version will be available through the app and on the Collection of Hope website with its effective date.
